This page in in memory of Greg's older sister, Diana Steffen, who died at the tender age of 16 due to Cystic Fibrosis. Greg was only 14 years old when his sister, and only sibling, passed from this horrible disease.
Cystic Fibrosis did not take her quietly. She, as well as other people with this disease, put up one of the biggest battles known to human kind. These people are strong and curagious beyond words and should be granted the respect that only true heros receive. Unfortunately, the disease won and claimed her life in 1988 before I came into her family's life.
I had never gotten a chance to meet her but I am sure we would have been best of friends. I believe that we would have been wonderful sisters-in-law if given the chance here on Earth but in my heart and soul, we are wonderful sisters-in-law now and forever.
I thank heaven for having her brother as my husband and best friend as I am sure that she thanked heaven to have him as a brother. I also thank Diana for watching out for Greg while he was growing up and making sure that he stayed strong until I could enter his life.
One day, I will finally get to meet Diana face to face and when I do, there will be a big hug and kiss waiting for her. She is truly missed by all her family and friends but she is always in our hearts.
